My submission to the texture challenge ended up with a sort of African vibe to it.
My first attempt at a hollow form, first time ‘carving’, first time painting carving… lots learnt!
Sorry, I have no idea what the wood is – in my limited turning experience it was horrible to turn!
Would be interested to learn more about carving gouges – using them and sharpening them!
