Here’s my offering for the July club challenges. The Japanese Tea Bowl is 4×2.5″beech wood with a black gesso base with Jo Sonja Irridescent Paints over the top, finished with a few coats of Hampshire Sheen Clear Gloss Lacquer. The inside was coloured with Intrinsic Sky Blue and Pear Green dyes. This was finished with Gloss Finishing Wax. The honey dipper (my first ever!) is made from sycamore. (Don’t ask me to turn the bowl round as the wood has split!…those who watched the love demo of these two pieces in the Facebook group will know.)
